OREO uses roughly 1 billion oz of plastic in its packaging every year. To combat this, this conceptual redesign shows a reduction of the box's volume, and the usage of sustainable materials like seaweed pulp and paperboard. 

To highlight these changes, the entire OREO brand was also reimagined to convey the importance of environmental consciousness. The logo was made to feel more organic, but simultaneously still fun; the overall aesthetic was made more minimalistic; and the sustainable nature of the packaging was conveyed by allowing raw materials to show through in the final design. Even the famous OREO cookie itself was updated, so that it encourages sustainability with every bite.
